Fasting… A documentary that proves

Ramadan2

Improves Body Resistance Significantly

Few weeks back, I came across an amazing and informative documentary by BBC where Michael Mosley ambitiously tries to find the way he can naturally live longer than the average without any scientific and/or artificial techniques applying on his body.

Eat, Fast and Live Longer

Interestingly – at the end – it forced me to think why Fasting has been an integral part of all the faiths since thousands of years. It doesn’t only purify the soul but it significantly increases the body resistance to avoid the very common diseases comes with the package of “growing older”.

Michael was able to find – after an extreme investigation – that fasting two consecutive days every week while eating “all you want“ during rest of the week keeps you in a controlling position over your body.

How do we do?

In Islam, we have one month of daily fasting (29/30 days) during the month of Ramadan. However it is indeed unfortunate to witness that today Ramadan has become a “Food Festival” rather than to be used to cure and purify our body and soul according to its essence.

Ramadan1

It is horrible to imagine how much food is wasted during this holy month just because of our greed to eat as much as we can both at the Suhur and at the Iftar, shows either ignorance or reluctance to understand the logical reasons and the hidden treasure for us behind fasting if we follow the true spirit whole month.

A part from the holy month of Ramadan, all the Prophets and pious people have this practice in common to fast frequently throughout the year. Another logic perceived is by postponing the food reserved for you by the nature makes you live longer.

In short, if we keep our eating desires in limit and focus on purifying ourselves rather than celebrating it as a food festival, we can really get the fruits of fasting as witnessed by Michael.
It is a very much recommended documentary to watch.

ThankYou

Why Aagaahi?

Well….. The word Aagaahi came actually from Urdu language with correct pronunciation as ‘Aa-Ga-Hi’ (ﺁﮔﺎﮨﯽ in the Urdu transcript), meaning Awareness, Realization, or Acknowledgement. As verb it is considered to spread awareness about any specific topic. Since the purpose of my blog is to distribute my knowledge and share my opinions on any specific subject that I feel important – not only to support others but to learn from others as well – so that was the best word came to my mind and I thought to give it a go.

Welcome and Good Day!

It has been few years since I started thinking to have my own blog up and running…… however there were many fears that did not allow me to jump into this vast world, until I was able to recall the famous Nike slogan…….

JustDoIt

These fears include……. What I have to offer? Who will be interested? How I will do it technically? Would it be a success or a failure? ………. and many more. As I stated going through stories of different people and spend some quality time to learn about blogging, it was easier to convince myself to go ahead regardless of Ifs and Buts.

The very first thing that we need to realize is each of us goes through a tremendous amount of experiences either good or bad from that we learn a lot in our lives. So there is a strong probability that our experiences may help someone in the society and it only needs little amount of efforts to start your own blog in any form on social media. If you think that nobody bothers about what you right then you don’t know how to make it noticed and you have not yet realized the power of the Internet.

Have a look as this site that motivated me to proceed with blog… Start Blogging

The second most important thing that we must know is the way you present something is the key how you want others to perceive it…… The Contents….. Mike has thrown some light on it (above site) but really the words that come from your heart and the ability to present it in an attractive manner (either using quotes, images, media) makes it distinct and attractive enough to get focused.

The third important thing is……. Consistency…… Never lose your enthusiasm to keep on blogging and finding the ways to promote your blog. There are plenty of ways you will find on Mike’s web site.

In the end my suggestion is don’t just think but “Just do it” and do it with consistency.

Need your best wishes so I can also be consistent too and could improve my blogging experience continuously.

Best regards,

Syed.
